    Advisory Board Approval

    22 September 2022 (by admin)

Following the DfE’s Advisory Board meeting 20 September, we are really pleased to be able to confirm that our application for the formal transfer of Norton College into the Ryedale Learning Trust was approved.

We have been in discussions with Norton College about how we might work in closer partnership with each other and bring our multi academy trusts together in a formal transfer of Norton College joining Ryedale Learning Trust.

In the summer term we undertook consultation on these proposals and would like to thank anyone who took the time to respond with their views and questions.  Each respective Trust Board has reviewed the responses and carefully considered whether there is any impact on the proposals. We received few comments and are pleased to say that at this stage we are confident to continue with the process.

We will now move into the development stage of this project which involves working on the legal processes of the transfer as well as technical arrangements for finances, contracts, staffing and property matters.

As a collective group we are working towards a transfer date at the beginning of the new year, but we will keep you updated with progress and provide you with more information as we progress.
